Daily Theme: Birds
This week we'll install a Culinary Herb Garden, put up bird houses around campus, and tinker with our Bird Baths. We'll have projects ready to make bird feeders and explore bird seeds, weave bamboo nests, make binoculars and listen to bird calls
STEM Project: Build a whirligig and make it fly! Learn about the forces of flight tinkering with different designs of flying machines made out of simple materials

Daily Theme: Apothecary
This week we'll plant a Tea Garden and make Seed Bombs. We'll also explore self care and make Bath Bombs, Spritzers & Hand Sanitizers, and Body Scrubs
STEM Project: LED magical wands! Build a simple circuit using a battery pack, LED and switch to light up a magical wand you can take home

Daily Theme: Paint
This week we'll paint things for our new garden, (fence posts, cinder blocks, banners & signs, plant markers) we will also explore different paint (watercolor, acrylic, oil based, paint pens)
STEM Project: Make a paint machine! Use wood, saws and a hammer to make an art making machine. You can take your creation and art work

Daily Theme: Weather
This week we'll install a weather station (wind gauges, thermometers, rainwater collection) and start seeds to send home. We will also learn how to read thermometers, explore rain gauges and talk about rain & clouds & barometric pressure
STEM PROJECT: Build a working wind gauge! Using the power of the wind and your building skills, design and make a machine that tells you the speed of wind

Daily Theme: Insects
This week we'll also install a pollinator garden, tinker with our bug hotels, and go on a bug scavenger hunt. We will have our scientific instruments (loupes, magnifying glasses, microscopes) as well as explore our bug collection, we will measure galls & oothecas and make bug habitat for home
STEM PROJECT: Make a kaleidoscope! Using simple materials and the color of nature, you will build a working kaleidoscope that you get to take home

Participants must currently be 5 years or older.
This Spring on Friday nights we're offering a Parent's Night Out! Drop your kids with us any time between 5:00-10:00 and we'll provide a healthy meal, do a STEM activity with our science teacher Christa Flores, share time in the garden, and watch a kid friendly movie.
